BEHIND THE DESIGN:

Before I get into this one allow me to state this as a preface, I am not intending to promote & glorify drug use. I am merely conveying my own opinions & experiences to you in hopes to be as transparent as possible and thus to explain the meaning behind one of my favorite pieces as of late.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into this piece.

As a kid born in the mid eighties and raised in the 90’s, we were brought up to believe that all illegal-substances were created equal.

Marijuana drove you crazy, psychedelics were for hippies/out there folk & DARE officers were in our middle-school classrooms warning us of a life behind bars if we so much as dared to experiment with these “vile” substances!

And I bought into it, just like most of us!

I thought weed limited your abilities and psychedelics were scary. And it wasn’t until my late 20’s/early 30’s, that I began to test those assumptions.

Personally, through experimenting with various mind-altering substances over the years, I have had some of the most PROFOUND lasting realizations under the influence.

Some of which includes highly focused abstract thought, a TRUE feeling of one-ness with my fellow otherwise disconnected human-beings, near ego-death & beneficial self-reflection that still rocks me to my core!

So with this piece I wanted to convey my experiences so I teamed up with the amazing @dnrsry to bring this one to life!

In closing, there’s so much more I could say here but the ultimate takeaway is that Life is TRULY the greatest Trip & you should without a doubt live it to the fullest how you see fit!

And for those of you that obstain from substances, I commend you as well because they are not for everyone!
